Cairo Nights: Top things to do in Cairo at night
The world in Cairo starts when the sun sets, with shining lights, active streets, and a unique charm...
Enjoy an experience of spectacular archaeological wonders, breathtaking natural beauty, and the one-of-its-kind astronomic view with your 14-day Egypt solar eclipse vacation package in Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan, and Sharm El-Sheikh. You proceed on a comprehensive Egypt tour to take you to the famous Pyramids of Giza as much as to the Egyptian Museum at Cairo and the Greco-Roman sites of Alexandria.
Luxor exists as the world's biggest outdoor museum, showcasing Karnak Temple alongside Luxor Temple as solid reminders of Egypt's majestic history. On the 2nd of August in the year 2027, Luxor will host the longest total solar eclipse until the year 2114, which will illuminate the ancient monuments—a scene that will be recounted for centuries to come. Take an easy Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan and explore the Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples along the way. One of your stops will be the Philae Temple and the stunning Abu Simbel Temples on your total solar eclipse, followed by some well-earned rest on golden beaches in Sharm El-Sheikh.
You can appreciate the powder-white beaches, coral reef life and excellent water sports facilities of Sharm El-Sheikh and the Red Sea. In this two-week period, a unique blend of cultural exploration, natural scenery, and space observatory adventure is created by expert-led tours, specifically tailored activities, and expert travel organization.

Upon your arrival at the airport, our Happy Egypt representative will greet you in Egypt. There, he will be holding a sign with your name on it, waiting for you. After that, you will be driven in a comfortable, air-conditioned car to your hotel in Cairo.
July 30, 2027
From your Cairo hotel, your Egyptian tour starts as our friendly guide arrives to welcome you. The Great Pyramids of Giza stretch ahead to astonish you with their majestic construction high above the desert land. The mighty structure awaits you during your Egypt tour, while the Great Sphinx watches the world go by, holding its untold secrets from the days of the ancients.
The ultimate experience brings the traveler to the original Egyptian pyramids raised above the gigantic buildings at the Giza Plateau: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, which also apparently transcend human imaginative scrutiny and the test of time.
The southern part leads to Saqqara, which houses the first known burial sites of Egypt. Here is found the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the most advanced engineering at the time that brought man closer to the realization of magnificent future pyramids.
Feast at a charming eatery after a careful morning spent with the monuments before going to Alexandria.
July 31, 2027
Begin your visit to Alexandria by touring its ancient Greco-Roman center that both historical records and stories praise. Tour the Roman Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, which used to serve as a combined Egyptian-Roman burial site. When built as a personal tomb, it turned into a communal burial site and now displays 300 historic tombs that display Alexandria's historical past.
The Pillar of Pompey stands tall with its temple remains, while the Citadel of Qaitbay watches as a castle defense fortress. Sultan Al-Ashraf Qaitbay built the citadel to guard against Ottoman and Turkish threats, and it shows how Egypt thrived throughout history.
Take pleasure in viewing the Library of Alexandria building from the outside at the end of your Egypt trip through Alexandria. Take your meal at a local dining place before returning to Cairo.
August 1, 2027
Have breakfast at your hotel in the morning, after which you head out on sightseeing in Cairo in its regular life. You begin with the Egyptian Museum, which holds its entire set of precious artifacts to educate you. Your guide will share intriguing details about Tutankhamun's tomb rooms and Cleopatra's legendary beauty as you are being given a guided tour.
Go through the remainder of the Saladin Citadel and uncover the final tales of war, combat, and suspense. Take in Cairo's sights from above because the modern city and historic mosques lie under your perspective. Visit the timeless shops at Khan El-Khalili following a satisfying lunch meal and lose yourself in Cairo's energetic rhythms. After touring the entire day, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor.
August 2, 2027
Before leaving for the 2027 eclipse, enjoy your hotel breakfast while eagerly waiting. Go to Karnak Temple and observe the secrets of ancient Egypt revealed during the celestial occurrence of the cosmic phenomenon. The moon shines with a bright halo from the sun's corona for a rare 6 minutes and 23 seconds when it covers the sun and an amazing transformation is created. After that, go to Luxor Temple and discover how hieroglyphics show the lives of royal pharaohs and gods.
August 3, 2027
Start the day with breakfast and spend some leisurely time as the ship continues to the West Bank of Luxor. Discover the royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings that tell the stories of the ancient Egyptian kings.
Next is the Hatshepsut Temple, a magnificent monument dedicated to the extremely strong female ruler of Egypt. Visit the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues that stand watch over the ancient Theban ruins. It is time to head back to the cruise, which is ready to set sail for Edfu, after an enlightening day.
Return to your Nile cruise to embark on a voyage to Edfu Temple via the Lock of Esna, where you will spend the night, embracing the serenity of the Nile's tranquil waters under the star-studded canopy above.
Optional: Morning hot air ballooning over Luxor.
August 4, 2027
The Nile cruise trip begins with breakfast on the ship before the ship takes you to the Edfu Temple of Horus along horse-drawn roads under sunny smiles. The temple is doubly praised for its place on Greco-Roman Wonders but it is special with the giant pylons and accurate reliefs everywhere, which is occupied by Horus' legendary falcon statue.
Your Nile cruise itinerary begins with Kom Ombo Temple. Travelers visit the double temple at Kom Ombo because it maintains religious offerings to both Sobek, the horror crocodile god, and Horus, the mighty divine falcon deity. You should see drawings along with an education about Sobek mythology in the Crocodile Museum. You'll get back to the cruise at the end of your day and head back to the ship.
August 5, 2027
Travelers enjoy 3.5 scenic desert hours towards Abu Simbel Temples under warm sunshine. Pharaoh Ramesses II guarded the temple entrance as though time held him captive there through generations.
Visiting these ancient temples creates an extraordinary connection with historic rulers because they change religious experience into an exceptional spiritual occasion. The magnificent work and massive scale of historical buildings cause you deep respect when you see these ancient structures preserved with their original creative genius. When our visit ends, we will depart our cruise ship for Abu Simbel's natural wonders while keeping our temple memories alive.
Optional tour: Nubian Village tour.
August 6, 2027
Your journey to Aswan began with an excellent breakfast that prepared you for out-of-the-box discoveries. The first tourist destination will be High Dam, since this massive construction has the function of flood control as well as the provision of light to the Egyptian ground.
You can also see the Unfinished Obelisk, which allows visitors to walk through the lost granite stone base of ancient history. The colossal column was originally built by expert craftsmen to last forever, but they left it half-finished in the middle when time forgot.
Your Egypt tour ends with a visit to the Philae Temple, built during the Ptolemaic period, with a relaxing boat ride over the picturesque Nile waters. You will be transferred to Sharm El-Sheikh later in the day.
August 7, 2027
Spend a relaxing day at the Sharm el-Sheikh beach overlooking the Red Sea or go for an adventure of your choice. Diving, snorkeling, or observing sea life on a glass-bottom boat or submarine are optional. A quad safari or jeep safari is an exciting ride between golden dunes for a desert adventure.
