It is dedicated to the ancient Egyptian art of mummification, where the ancient Egyptian believed that there was life and death, and they used to do this to perpetuate the memory of kings and queens. The Luxor Museum one of the beautiful Luxor attractions it is a very interesting structure equipped with everything the tourist needs.
This museum was built in the 1970s, and two halls were added to the museum, the first is the Glory of Thebes, and the second is the Cash.
It contains a very good collection of statues, stelae, beds, chariots, coins, and two mummies, with some Coptic stuff.
You will start your tour inside the museum with the statue of the cow goddess Hathor. There are some good statues in very good condition such as the cow’s head, Amenhotep III’s statue with crocodile god, Tuthmosis III, and some good statues representing scribes.
