Start your day with the first capital, Memphis, of ancient Egypt raised by King Menes of the 1st dynasty.
Memphis:
the open-air museum, with artifacts held in the open air, including a huge statue of Ramses II. Memphis’ geographical location was chosen for its strategic position at the easy entrance of the Nile Delta, and was the site of Ptah worship. Memphis claimed historical significance as the place where the first centralized government for Egypt was established in 2925 BC. Nowadays, it is known for Mit Rahina.
Then proceed to Saqqara :
on the west bank of the Nile. This huge burial ground, overlooking Memphis, was the cemetery of the latter, with the Step Pyramid of Djoser—the oldest stone structure—a landmark in the history of architecture. At Saqqara too, pyramids started being built by kings of the 5th and 6th dynasties-Userkaf, Unas, Pepi I, and Pepi II-while tombs emerged for private nobles like Ti, Kagemni, Ptah Hotep, and Mereruka.
Once the above excursion is completed, you will transfer back to the hotel for some much-needed rest and relaxation, making it a Christmas holiday 2025 itinerary to remember and have some fun reliving your Egypt Christmas, 2025.
