In our Egypt Nile cruise, take advantage of a fantastic 5-day MS Amoura Dahabiya Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. From your cruise, explore the timeless monuments along the Nile valley. As you travel the fabled Nile River, board our opulent Dahabiya, a traditional sailing vessel, and enjoy a singular fusion of contemporary comfort and vintage charm.
This luxurious boat, included in Egypt Tours programs, will transport you from Esna to Aswan and back in timeless elegance as you sail the Nile. You can explore the famous sites of Luxor and Aswan while on the MS Amoura Dahabiya Nile cruise, taking in the breathtaking views, and you can stay. It is a really fun trip with all the amenities.
Upon arrival in Luxor, guests will be transferred to the hotel. On your arrival at Luxor airport or railway station, our friendly representative will be waiting to meet you and take you through what lies in store. You will then be taken to your cruise and get lunch on board ready for the next setting.
In the afternoon, get ready for an incredible tour of the West Bank of Luxor. Some of the attractions include the Colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsut Temple, and the unique Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs are buried in style. The final place of interest is the Karnak Temple—the largest religious building ever built in any culture and the largest temple complex on the planet.
(Lunch and Dinner are included.)
Optional: Sound and light show in Karnak Temple.
Start your day by horse carriage to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the most intricate temples in Egypt—the actual mythology is sculptured on the wall as well as the huge pylons.
Have lunch in a restaurant before heading to the Selsela mountain, where there is the Horemheb temple, a historical cool area that is not very busy and one can get to see the beauty of Egypt. Also, you can take the boat and go down the Nile to Kom Ombo.
(Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included)
Sail in the morning for Kom Ombo for an interesting temple, which was the double temple dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god and Horus. Appreciate the double relief and complex scenes depicted that reflect the Egyptian mythology of that time.
Proceed back to your cruise and relax while sailing towards the south to Aswan while taking amazing shots of the magnificent Nile.
(Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.)
Today, you will explore the major sites of Aswan, such as the High Dam. Then, visit the Philae Temple, which is devoted to the goddess Isis; don’t miss the wonderful views of the island and history.
Finish your day leisurely walking through the Aswan Bazaar, an open-air market with local products and souvenirs, including spices and artifacts.
(Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included)
It's your last day on the tour. You will check out of your hotel and then transfer to the airport.

Dahabiyas are much quieter and offer a more serene atmosphere. You and a smaller group of other people can isolate yourselves from the rest, immersing in the great history of Egypt without much more noise.
Almost all Dahabiya cruises last five to seven days, allowing time to explore major sites such as Luxor, Edfu, and Aswan, as well as off-the-beaten-path temples and villages.
Dahabiya cruises glide across fewer but allow travelers more time to explore generally less crowded and culturally richer sites, often docking directly in sites that larger boats cannot access.
Dahabiyas are distinguished by traditional yet luxurious pseudo-locations with style, stunning views from large windows, and intimate, personalized services away from larger, crowded ships.
Yes, luxury Dahabiya Nile cruises usually have Nubian villages on their itineraries, giving passengers an opportunity for real cultural experiences with communities of natives.
Dining here is an event, with fresh local Egyptian meals served in specially crafted place settings and often highlighting traditional dishes such as koshary and local specialties cooked by the onboard chef.
Taking slow motion in a Dahabiya cruise, one would appreciate the scenery not touched by modern tourism, the opportunities to stargaze, and to watch of the Nile wildlife in a quiet natural environment.
Most of the Dahabiya Nile cruises offer sun decks except for the really quiet terraces that are perfect for activities like yoga, meditation, and nature walks along the banks of the Nile.
