День 02 Fly to Aswan
Celebrating Christmas in Egypt adds a touch of novelty to the affair, given Aswan's weather with its golden sunshine and quiet breezes of the Nile River-it is different from anywhere else. The High Dam:
There are two dams in Aswan, the Aswan Dam (the British Dam) which were constructed in 1889, and the High Dam which was built during the reign of President Nasser.
The High Dam is like the double height of the old dam. The dam got some pros and cons, such as the electricity and the displacement of the Nubians because of the lake.
Lake Nasser is the largest artificial lake in the world, 500 KM long.
The dam protects Egypt against high and low floods.
Philae Temple:
In Aswan day tour you will see the island of Philae was called by the Egyptians “Pilak” or “the end” and then “Philak” by the Greeks and “Philae” right now that it is one of the most important attractions in Aswan.
It was very important for the Egyptians because they thought that the River Nile starts there, and also due to the artificial tomb of the God Osiris made by his consort goddess Isis to deceive the god Seth.
It houses many structures, the biggest and the most intact is the temple of Isis (the magic goddess). This temple was begun in 280 BC and completed in 80 BC.
All of the structures of Philae were dismantled into 40000 pieces and moved to the Island of Agalika, which bears the name of Philae. The real Philae was lost under the water.
The Unfinished Obelisk:
Happy Egypt helps you to know more about the granite quarry on the east bank of Aswan was used to cut the statues, coffins, boxes, sarcophagi, and obelisks for the kings.

When the workers finished the obelisk in the quarry, they took it to the river to transport it to the temples. It was very hard work.
Just five obelisks are found in Egypt now. Thirteen Egyptian obelisks are in Italy. Seven are in London. One is in Paris. One is in Istanbul and one is in New York. This one is not finished due to the natural cracks in its body.

День 03 Abu Simbel
After your breakfast, your guide will meet you at the reception of your to commence your tour to Abu Simbel.
About 300 km from Aswan, is a strikingly beautiful and majestic monument by the most powerful pharaoh in the history of Egypt, Ramses II.
There are two temples in Abu Simbel. The great temple of Ramses II, and a smaller temple of his wife Nefertari.
The two temples are cut deep into the rock.
The great temple is dedicated Amon-Re, Rehorakhty, Ptah, and Ramses II as a god.
While the smaller temple is dedicated to Hathor and Nefertari as a goddess.
The great temple of Ramses is the most powerful work of art in the world, with its huge façade with four impressive statues of Ramses.
It is reachable by plane or by road. It is about 45 minutes by plane and about three hours by road.
The police convoy has been canceled and you can drive to Abu Simbel from Aswan between sunrise and sunset daily.
The temple is built with some angles to let the sun illuminate the face of Ramses II twice a year, on his birthday (October 21) and his coronation day (February 21). But now the dates are changed to 22 of February and 22nd of October, due to the movement of the temple.
The temples of Abu Simbel were the first temples to be rescued among 24 temples, due to the damage of the water. The rescue operation began 1n 1960 and was completed in the spring of 1964.
After that, you will transfer to your hotel and have your dinner.
День 04 Fly Back to Cairo ( Egyptian Museum & Khan El-Khalili )
After your breakfast, you will transafer to Aswan airport to fly back to Cairo

The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is one of the largest museums in the world. It includes more than 120 thousand archaeological pieces on display, and the rest are in storage. The museum has two main floors, the ground floor and the first floor. On the ground floor, there are some coins and papyrus. There are also some artifacts from the New Kingdom. These items include statues and tables
On the first floor, there are some artifacts from the dynasties 29 and 30, with some items from the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, in particular the amazing treasure of King Tutankhamon.
There are two special rooms containing a number of mummies.

Khan El Khalili:
Khan el Khalili is the largest bazaar and market in the Middle East. It represents the market tradition that established Cairo as a major trade center. Khan was located in the middle of Cairo, and some commercial establishments were built nearby.
There is a big collection of shops, workshops, and coffee shops.
After your tour, you will transfer to your hotel to have your dinner.

День 05 Departure
