An amazing day trip to Alexandria from Cairo is included in your 6-day Cairo and Alexandria honeymoon tour to see Egypt's most amazing city, which has been the capital for nearly a millennium and deserves to be on most of our classic Egypt tours. Egypt is a wonderful place with amazing buildings and landscapes like the Citadel of Saladin, the Citadel of El Din, Coptic Cairo, and the Pharaonic Village.
Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel in a private air-conditioned car. Your tour guide is ready to guide you during check-in, ensuring that everything is perfect for your 6-day Cairo and Alexandria honeymoon tour.
If you need assistance customizing your itinerary or adding additional excursions, do not hesitate to contact him. You will have the opportunity to book an optional activity to experience the amazing sound and light show at the Giza Pyramids, provided there is enough time at the end of the day.
Your honeymoon itinerary in Egypt begins after a lovely breakfast at the hotel . You will embark on a journey to explore the magnificent pyramids of Khufu , Hephren and Mycerinus at Giza. Next, you will head to the panoramic viewpoint to take unforgettable photos of the Giza Pyramids and you will have the option of riding a camel. You will also visit the Great Sphinx , guardian of the ancient necropolis, and enter the Valley Temple where King Cephren underwent mummification . After that , you will be transferred to the city center to continue your tour of the Egyptian Museum.
The Egyptian Museum is a beautiful grand landmark , built over 100 years ago , and the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities, including statues of ancient kings and King Tutankhamun's golden treasures. You can choose an additional mummy room ticket. After enjoying lunch at one of the local restaurants , we will continue your travels to Cairo by exploring Old Cairo . Your Coptic tour will begin in Cairo at the Hanging Table of the Virgin Mary, built atop two towers in the ancient Citadel of Babylon . You will also see the Cave Church , learn about the Abu Sarga Church , and visit the historic Ben Ezra Synagogue , which is one of the oldest Jewish synagogues in the Middle East. At the end of your day, you will be returned to your hotel.
Overnight in Cairo.
After breakfast at the hotel , you will leave for a wonderful tour of the Pharaonic village. Here , you will experience a recreated city that reflects ancient Egyptian life. Accompanied by your tour guide , you will enjoy a boat tour showcasing daily activities in ancient Egypt , including religious rituals , hunting , food preparation , agriculture , and traditional clothing. It is as if you have traveled back 5,000 years to witness the splendor of Egypt's history first-hand .
After breakfast at the hotel , you'll meet your private Egyptologist guide and driver for a scenic trip to Alexandria , the Mediterranean jewel founded by Alexander the Great in 323 B.C. Enjoy a fantastic day tour as you visit the Qaitbay Fortress , built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria , one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Next , explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa , which beautifully blend Greco-Roman and Pharaonic art styles . Your journey continues to Pompey's Pillar, where you can admire a remarkable collection of Greek monuments that once belonged to the famous Serapeum temple . You’ll also visit the Library of Alexandria , a historic center of knowledge and research. After enjoying a delicious seafood lunch at a local restaurant , you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo for the night.

Today , we'll explore the Saqqara Necropolis to visit the Step Pyramid complex of King Djoser , the second ruler of Egypt from the 3rd dynasty . This pyramid, designed by the brilliant architect Imhotep, is the first monumental stone structure in history .
Next , we’ll see the Pyramid of King Teti and enter the tomb of Kagemni , a noble who was the son-in-law of King Teti and served as the vizier of Justice during the 6th dynasty .
We'll then transfer to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt during the Old and Middle Kingdoms. Here , you'll find an open-air museum showcasing fascinating artifacts , including the impressive alabaster sphinx and the colossal statue of King Ramses II , one of the most significant rulers of Egypt’s New Kingdom .
Afterward , we’ll enjoy lunch at a quality local restaurant before heading to Khan El Khalili bazaar in the heart of Islamic Cairo. This is a great opportunity to shop for souvenirs and enjoy traditional mint tea at a local café.
Finally , we’ll transfer back to the hotel for the night .
