Tag 01 Mortuary Temple, Merenptah Mortuary Temple & Howard Carter House

With Happy Egypt, you will be met at your hotel by a guide who will commence the trip to Luxor’s West Bank. Our first stop will be the Northernmost Mortuary Temple on the West Bank, Seti I’s Temple of a Million Years. Although building work commenced during Seti I’s reign, is was completed by his son, Ramesses II.

There is a range of deities honoured here, but the Theban triad of Amon, Mut, and Khonsu is the most important, each having a barque shrine. There is also a shrine dedicated to Seti's father Ramesses I.

Next, in your Luxor day tours we will visit the house of Howard Carter the who discovered the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The house has been restored, and you can wander through the rooms and see the furniture, equipment, and household items that Carter used whilst in Egypt. Carters original desk, library, and items related to the excavation of the pharaoh's tomb are also on display.

Finally, we visit the mortuary temple of the Pharaoh Merenptah who was Ramesses II thirteenth son and his successor. The temple structure was a typical New Kingdom mortuary temple similar to his grandfather’s Seti I and Ramesses II, Ramesseum. Although little remains of the structure, a miniature sacred lake can still be seen and many well-preserved blocks, wall fragments, and other blocks are displayed within the complex. During your day trip to Egypt, you will enjoy all of this and learn a lot.

The complex houses a small museum in the magazines with many interesting artefacts, including part of a colossal limestone sphinx and jackal-headed sphinxes.

At the end of the tour, your guide will return you to your hotel.

We took a ride in the village of Slavia, but I couldn't find an option to review this activity
Because it is temporary so I found this company on the Internet, customer service staff is good, but the only US is not enough is that he can only brush cards online can not pay cash, hope to have the option of paying cash

We had a great afternoon
Leading our guide Ahmed people are good, we because of the previous trip delayed time, let him wait for us a while on the boat, up to the boat to discover the entire boat only us, he also gave us water and drinks, we saw the sunset on the boat to take pictures very carefully, the road Ahmed like we told the surrounding view, some understand some not understand, but this is the charm of travel
Finally arrived at the place where Ahmed was very good to support us in the upper edge, the youth who carried the rope was also reassured to give us, but there was no stubborn edge in the back of the supervision, on the road we would run for a while and walk very self-sufficient, in his body we were afraid and excited, and finally walked into the village of slavery, we went to eat slavery bread with black sugar and adult food, that servant and our soy milk taste super like soy milk, also drank black tea, because Arab coffee is interested so we also tried, the taste is very special. Finally we went to the school in Slavia for a class, really a classroom, we quickly learned some Arabic and Slavic, really too hard, but very happy, if not to rush back and gather, really want to slow down the whole village
