Tag 01 Abu Simbel Temples Trip by Flight
Our representative with Happy Egypt will pick you up from your hotel/cruise in Aswan to take you to Aswan airport. Your guide in Abu Simbel will be waiting for you outside the arrival terminal.
About 300 km from Aswan is a strikingly beautiful and majestic monument by the most powerful pharaoh in the history of Egypt.
It is reachable by plane or by road. It is about 30 to 45 minutes by plane, and about three hours by road in one way.
There are two temples in Abu Simbel. The great temple of Ramses II, and a smaller temple of his wife Nefertari.You will know this during your Aswan day tours.
The two temples are cut deep inside the rock. The great temple is dedicated to Amon Re, Rehorakhty, Ptah, and Ramses II as a god.
While the smaller temple is dedicated to Hathor and Nefertari as a goddess.

The two temples were cut into 1036 huge pieces and then rebuilt in the new location which is far 200 meters from the older site.
